I had a truly wonderful stay at a cozy little cottage in Ayr. The hosts, Chris and Susan, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me and my elderly disabled dog feel right at home. The freshly baked scones and dog biscuits they provided were a lovely touch. Despite being there for a wedding at a nearby hotel, I regret not having enough time to fully explore the beautiful surroundings. But that just gives me a great excuse to come back again, which I'm sure I will. I highly recommend this charming cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Attending a wedding at Brig o Doon, we were lucky to find this amazing bothy nearby. Just a 10/15 min walk to the venue, its stunning location by the river Doon was peaceful and quiet. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The hosts were welcoming, respecting our privacy, and allowed us to roam the grounds. The scones on arrival were a sweet touch. We loved our stay here and would 100% come back!

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, surrounded by peaceful nature. the sound of the river and the birds in the morning created a relaxing atmosphere. the wooded walk down to the river was a highlight, perfect for dog owners and nature lovers. the hosts were welcoming, offering warm homemade scones and fresh eggs from their chickens and ducks.
The outside stairs leading to the table were a bit steep and could have benefited from a handrail or another step at the bottom.

We arrived to a warm welcome and were greeted with delicious scones and sweet treats. the property was clean and had a cozy, homely atmosphere. the location was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful forests and offering a lovely view of the nearby river. We also appreciated the thoughtful birthday decorations and card for my partner's special day.
There were a few aspects that left us disappointed. the lack of nearby restaurants meant that we had to rely on takeaways accessed via the free wifi.
